Notes/Application
Now at the end of the end of the study on the Prophets, it seemed best to do a high-level review; reading selections from each book, reflecting on their many themes and how God chose to speak through these men. You see so much of God’s faithfulness and holiness as you flip through these writings: the rebuking of idolatry and Messianic prophecy in Isaiah, Israel’s forsaking the Lord in Jeremiah, the condemnation of false prophets and temple vision in Ezekiel, God’s preservation of Daniel and the three, Hosea taking a wife of whoredom and her redemption in Hosea, judgment through locust invasion in Joel, the decree to seek the Lord in Amos, God’s patience and mission for Jonah, the Ruler to be born in Bethlehem in Micah, the righteous living by faith in Habakkuk, the great Day of the Lord to come in Malachi and others.
I am so very thankful for these past seven months and to be able to do this study. It has been incredibly profitable in seeing God’s heart. Praise God that He has chosen to provide and speak to us through His precious Word.
